Response to Everyone Draw Muhammad Day: The Dust will never settle down

The kuffar are planning to celebrate the first Annual Everyone Draw Muhammad Day on the 20th of May, 2010. Following is the poster for that event.

Here is our video response to it followed by a lecture explaining how the Sahaba (RA) would react to such blasphemy and the rulings on how we should deal with it. It's long but do take some time out to read it. It's very important. You can either listen to the lecture posted after the video or just read the typed article. It's the same. Though, if you haven't got enough time for that, at least listen to the last 10 minutes of the lecture or read the last 4-5 pages.

UPDATE 10/05/10: Note that the video has been removed. Inshallah, I hope to have it uploaded again in a few hours, inshallah.  The video has been uploaded again!

Why do you guys need to do this "allah"'s work for him, when he is supposed be the one who punishes this sinful action in the afterlife? Doesn't acting for him, suggest he doesn't exist? (here's some fun: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_BpKxNbqpMsA/SsNptlyY4KI/AAAAAAAAAYk/PTFVkZ7kcXo/s320/muhammad.jpg)

If you want to be a part of the civilized world, you guys gotta stop thinking like savages.

In bad taste, perhaps. You are not seriously injured, and the freedom that is maintained is something you use everyday.

But consider that a film maker was shot, had his throat slit, and a knife stuck in his chest because one of your co-religionists didn't like a movie the man made. How barbarous and depraved those people can be in the name of taste.

Abu Hurayra(R.A.) narrated ... that the Messenger of Allah
SWT said :" The day of the hour will not come until the
sun rises from the west, if it rises and the people saw it they will all
believe, when a time where nothing will be accepted anymore of believe
the truth"....well, for all those who curse and insult Islam, all i have to say to you is that may Allah give you guidance...otherwise, the alternate option is wait for this...and then we'll be the ones saying 'told you so'...so plz, save yourselves, if you dont want to be part of our religion then atleast dont insult it either.

How strongly the unbelievers will wish that they had been Muslims. Leave them alone to eat and enjoy themselves and let their desires deceive them; they will soon know (the Truth).

anonymous, I don't for a second endorse the slaughter of people for drawing cartoons, though I do think they should be punished.

The intention is not to insult Islam, it's to defend freedom of speech and ideology. People have their own way of existing, and if it's religion\Mohammad\Jesus, then so be it. The problem is when people start killing and threatening to push their ideas on others. I've drawn a few pictures of Mohammad just to teach the Muslims what the other civilized religions learned: everything can be criticized, even your prophet. If you don't like it, then go back to the middle east.

check this out...
I did NOT 'declare' May 20 to be "Everybody Draw Mohammed Day."
I made a cartoon about the television show South Park being censored.
The cartoon-poster, with a fake 'group' behind it, went viral and was taken seriously.
I never started a facebook page; a stranger did and there is nothing I can do about it.

My one-off cartoon of a fictional poster does not work well as a long-term plan.
The vitriol this 'day' has brought out, of people who only want to draw obscene images,
is offensive to the Muslims who did nothing to endanger our right to expression in the first place. Only Viacom and Revolution Muslim are to blame, so write to them instead!

I apologize to people of Muslim faith and ask that this 'day' be called off.

Thank you to those who are turning this crazy thing into an opportunity for dialogue, education and solutions.

Sincerely,
Molly

Well, Molly, all you can do right now is to somehow make people believe that the day has been called off and it's not appropriate to celebrate it!

There are about 5 different audio clips running at the same time on this page and I cannot turn them off.
None of it makes sense.
