The Ten Favourite Days of Allah (swt)

Share this post :

The ten most favourite days of Allah (swt) have just started. Even though I had thought of writing an article but due to a lack of time, I was unable to do that and already some time has passed.

I just received an email with the following article so I thought I’d post it here instead of wasting more time in writing a new article.

When is it that Allah (swt) accepts repentance!

Share this post :

In The name of Allah,The Most Merciful,The Most gracious

When is it that Allah (sw) accepts repentance!

Praise be to Allah! If you committed evil but have repented sincerely, and changed your life around for better, then Allah has certainly promised to grant you mercy and forgiveness. It is one of the basic principles of belief in Islam that Allah is All-Relenting, All-Forgiving and All-Merciful.Allah says

“Didn’t they know that it is Allah who accepts repentance of His servants and forgives sins?” (At-Tawbah: 104).

Methodology for the Re-Establishment of the Khilafah

Almost, a year ago, I published an article titled "Politics in Islam - The Khilafah". I also included in it the methodology of re-establishing it.

Even though, I updated it a few times, I still think that there is a need to publish a separate detailed article with a few changes in it.

Also, since I gave the examples of two Islamic groups struggling for the Khilafah, I'll use their examples again.

Studying Seerah, the Life of the Prophet Muhammad (S)

I recently found a very good series of Seerah lectures by Imam Anwar al-Awlaki and I would recommend everyone to read it. The main source of it is Ibn Kathir. However, only authentic seerah sources have been taken by Imam Anwar al-Awlaki.

I have included links for the lectures later on. However, please note that in the low quality Makkan period, CD 16 is missing. The reason is that CD 16 was given on the website as a duplicate of CD 15 and CD 16 was given in CD 17. Actually, Makkan period has only 16 CDs so you can rename the CD 17 file to CD 16 and you’re done.

You can also get some information on the importance of studying Seerah at http://media.islambase.info/AnwarAwlaki/Seerah.mp3.

Hizb-ut-Tahrir - The Reality (Updated Once)

Hizb-ut-Tahrir claims to be an Islamic political party that was established in 1953, by Taqi-ud-din an-Nabhani, to re-establish the khilafah (caliphate) that was lost by the Muslims in 1924 when Mustafa Kamal Ataturk abolished the seat of the caliphate.

This party is well-established in many countries even though they face a lot of opposition from the governments of those countries. These countries include Muslim as well as non-Muslim countries. This group is particularly active among the Muslim youth. This is mainly due to the fact that they try to spread their message in universities and their techniques are very attractive for the Muslim youth.

However, even though they usually gather a lot of support from the youth, elders are not that attracted to it and many even claim that the party is not completely Islamic, i.e. it does not follow all Islamic principles and that its working is not Islamic.

I, therefore, hope to make this point clear to all Muslims in this article as to whether this group is worth considering to be joined or not.

End of the Training Period

With the grace of Allah (swt), our training period, i.e. the month of Ramadan has just finished. It became common among most people that they tried to do as many good deeds as they could possibly do.

However, just as Ramadan was coming to an end and Eid was approaching, a huge number of people started becoming lazy and neglected a lot of good deeds. A clear example would be the salah in congregation in the mosques.

I remember that before the month of Ramadan, the imam would feel the need to announce it to the muqtadis to complete the first row. During the month of Ramadan, since the mosque would be filled, there was no need for it. However, just before the Eid day, i.e. on the last day of this Ramadan, I heard the imam make the announcement again.

It is clear that most people do regard this month as sacred and start practicing good deeds. However, it is important that these deeds should be practiced even after Ramadan, at least until the next Ramadan, in other words, the next training period.

Another important thing is the fasting in Shawwal.
Abu Ayyub al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: "He who fasts Ramadan, and six (days) of Shawwal, it will be (equivalent to) as if he fasted a whole year (in terms of rewards)." (Reported by Muslim, at-Tirmidhi, Abu Dawood, Ahmad, Ibn Majah)
