Your Life - A Journey

You’re on a journey. The journey is life. The destination is Paradise or Hell. The path you take on your journey will determine your destination. The length of your journey is not fixed; it will vary for each individual with some arriving at their destination in their youth whereas other will reach old age before they arrive. Yet one thing for certain is that everyone WILL arrive at their destination.

Getting an A grade in the Final Exam

Final exams are always a nice time to focus on the true exam of life.

1. In school, you can often redo your exam if you fail. In the hereafter, if one fails there is no going back.

2. In school, you often do not know what questions will be asked. In the hereafter, there are only 3 questions: Who is your Lord? What is your Deen? And who is this man who was sent to you? But the answers are answers you live by.

3. In school, we stay up at night to prepare for the exam the next day. So too in Allah’s exam, we should be staying up in night prayers.

Let Death be your Slogan

Suppose that you were told tonight that tomorrow is your last day on this Earth, what would you do?

Do you think that you won’t change your regular routine to one which is more Islamic, in other words, is your routine Islamic enough?

Do you think you will be content with what you had been able to do in this life and that you would not ask for some more time?

Death is something that all of us know that we will experience as Allah (swt) mentions in the Quran in Surah Al-e-Imran, Chapter 3, Verse 185:
